Top 5 Conditioners under $5

I consider myself a “new natural”.  I have been natural for a little over 2 years but I use the term “new natural” because I am just beginning to embrace my natural hair and experimenting with new products and styles. One thing I have learned quickly is that it’s very easy to get sucked into a continuous cycle of buying new products and sometimes it gets  expensive. If you are like me and want to save a coin but don’t want to compromise quality, check out this post on my top 5 conditioners under $5. Yes… Under $5!

  1. Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Moist Deep Conditioning treatment | $2.99

You guys may remember this conditioner from my January 2017 favorite’s video if you follow me on YouTube. I’m still using this conditioner and I still feel the same. I am in love!  This amazing conditioner works in just 3 minutes and leaves your hair feeling soft and moisturized and manageable. If your hair has been dry or you have experienced breakage, I’d suggest this product. This is what I call my revival treatment. In just 3 minutes my hair goes from dry to soft and moisturized!  Who doesn’t want to be able to deep condition in 3 minutes?! I will continue to repurchase this product as long as it is sold.

  1. Dr. Miracles Tingling Intensive Deep Conditioning Treatment | $1.99

This little 1.75 oz packet is one of my greatest discoveries. I literally purchased this at my local beauty supply store for only $1.99, I just picked this up and tossed it in my cart on a whim without thinking much of it, and I’m glad I did. It has a peppermint smell and feels great on your scalp. It provides a tingling sensation and it just feels like it’s working — Almost like a scalp massage! I covered my hair with a plastic cap and did some cleaning around the house before I rinsed it out. This product made my hair feel stronger, like a protein treatment. If you have thicker hair I would suggest getting two packs because even though one was enough to get the job done, I could have used two and my hair is not super thick.

  1. Garnier Fructis Sleek & Shine Brazilian Smooth Fortifying Conditioner| $3.42

First of all, this conditioner smells AMAZING!! I began using this as a conditioner for my curly bundles and I recently began using it on my natural hair and it’s still a hit! If you have really tight curls or your curls are just prone to frizz, this will be your bestfriend. If you plan on using heat on your hair, this is also a good conditioner to start with because it will loosen up the curls just a bit so that you won’t have to use as much heat to get a straight look.

  1. Motions Nourish & Care Active Moisture Plus conditioner | $4.99

Shine! This conditioner gives my hair an amazing shine and leaves my strands very soft. I used to use motions products all the time when I had relaxed hair, and I am now  becoming acquainted with them as natural girl. I feel like this is a great conditioner for natural hair, relaxed hair and especially those transitioning from relaxed to natural.  Motions even claims that this conditioner has a pH of 4.0 to 4.4 and neutralizes relaxer residue. Give it a try!

  1. Africa’s Best Instant Detangling Conditioner | $2.99

So I looked high and low for reviews on this product and there are not too many out there and I just can’t figure out why. This is conditioner is AMAZING! IT’S AMAZING, IT’S SUPER AMAZING! And check this out, it’s cheap! Ok so the slip on this conditioner is like no other. I used to dread wash day because I knew detangling was going to be an absolute mess until I found this conditioner. It is advertised as an instant detangling conditioner and it delivers. I can actually run my fingers straight through my hair with no problems after using this.  My recommendation is to leave it on for about 5-10 minutes if you have extra time, it smells great and helps keep frizz away. If your hair is damaged/dry/ or prone to breakage, you must have this conditioner

I’m always on the hunt for a new conditioner, what are some of your favorite affordable conditioners?
